It just keeps getting better and better! The first 2 demo cds were really
great but 11-15 still takes it up another level. Chance's songs stand out
and engage listeners with really strong hooks and lyrics that are worth
thinking about. "Independent" is a real winner, and there's not a weak
song in this bunch. I highly recommend all of the demo cds, Enjoy!

Took me about 2 minutes to order this one, December 05, 2006

After enjoying my first two Chance CDs, I made sure that I signed up for the email list. When I got my notification that the new CD was up and available for ordering, I think I took about two minutes to check that I had enough money... and then trundled on over, and got myself one.

The original pieces, esp. Man on a Mission, are totally rocking, and the cover of the Milkshake song had me falling off my chair with giggles. I love the guitar work. It sounds effortless and deeply expressive at the same time, somewhere between Hendrix, Mato (from Indigenous), and Shavo Odadjian (from System of a Down).

Can you tell that I like this artist?

Listen up! 11 through 15 hides a lot of potential!, December 05, 2006

"Oh, listen up," so the record begins. And listen up you shall, if only because of the highly catchy and uptempo rock tune that will never get boring entitled Man on a Mission, followed by with what I think is the record's least powerful song, Pause but don't Stop. The "doohs" don't appeal to me, but I like the effects and the guitar solo. Next, Independent. Completely unexpected in Chance's repertoire, this is a careless, almost blunt song that just speeds ahead and is as catchy as the opening song. Here is quiet and emotional, but the studio version in my opinion doesn't capture the full potential of this song. The last song is the mostly mellow Push, counterbalanced by its threatening piano chords. The vocals here are stronger than ever (man, listen to that bridge!) and the lyrics are impressive, especially knowing that they were inspired by the movie "Crash". The 1 minute "outro" of Push is a sweet introduction to the four, yes FOUR extras!

I originally heard Independent through Accident Hash and it isn't often
that a song really catches my attention. I liked Independent so much I
didn't delete the Hash episode and I'd listen to Independent through the
podcast episode. I then decided to purchase this album. I really didn't
know what the rest of the album would sound like but it all turned out to
be great. I can even withstand The Milkshake Song. This album is a
great relaxer album for me. If I'm stressed I just put on this album and
I feel better by the end of the first song. I really can't pick out any
particular song that I like because the album all around is well done.
The friends that have listened to some of the album from the car rides
always ask me who it is and they want to hear more.

I first discovered Chance's work on a podcast called Insomnia Radio USA. I highly recommend anyone considering buying this album must buy his first two albums too.

Chance is a very Talented, Professional Indie Artist who deserves everything for his amazing work. Please support him and if your are lucky enough to live in California, USA try and go and see one one of his shows I know I would....so I had to make do with his video blog of one of his recent shows check this link out;
